Arrival
Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so you have time to use the restroom, make a cup of tea, and not feel rushed.
Coming to the office can be confusing on your first visit, read below to ensure a smooth arrival:
I’m located within Luminosity Community. Our building has 4 suites. The entrance and parking is in the rear. We are located in the lower level. The bathroom is straight ahead upon entering the lobby, we are located through the door to the left of the main entrance.
There is seating in the lobby, new clients often get confused and think they should wait out there. That is not the case! Please come in once you arrive, there is a comfy couch inside and tea that you may help yourself to.
Prep
It’s always good to be well hydrated and fed before a massage, but not too full as to be uncomfortable laying down, and I always suggest using the restroom before we start our session
Most people undress fully or down to their lower underwear, just dress down to the level you feel comfortable with. I practice modest draping, so i only uncover what I’m working on and you will never be exposed.
My table is slightly wider than standard, at 31.5 inches wide, and can support up to 1,500 lbs. I always have full sized pillows, small shoulder bolsters, and a breast bolster available upon request . Please don’t hesitate to ask if you need anything to help make you feel more comfortable on the table!
While I may be the professional, no one will ever know your body better than you do. Your trust and comfort is of the utmost importance to me. You can always ask me to adjust the pressure, spend more or less time on an area, or address any other needs you may have.
Aftercare
it’s important to continue to hydrate after a massage. Doing aftercare such as using a heating pad, taking an epsom salt bath, and stretching are all beneficial as well.
Depending on the goal of our session, I may offer to give you a few stretches or exercises that you can do at home. It’s normal to be a bit sore after a massage, but that soreness shouldn’t be more than the soreness you’d feel in the days following a tough workout. If you ever feel more sore than that, or more sore than you’d prefer to be, please let me know and we’ll adjust the pressure of your future sessions accordingly.
